Research notes

From the UQ Anthropology Museum exhibitions 'Women with Clever Hands past and present' curated by Louise Hamby August 2013. Exhibition label: Made for Guymarrawuy a Gumatj person. He is now deceased.

Notes by A Fielding: 'Three armlets with feathers interwoven made for Goimarawoi by Mawalan. Feathers from red parrot, string from tree. First worn when Manigai commenced for his circumcision. Worn until fully healed. Goimarawoi belongs to Gomaid - circumcised by Mowara who belongs to his mother's Dadiwoi.'
