Necklace made from eight strands of light coloured grass stem pieces threaded onto string; string extends at each end. Registration number 7562 marked with tag.

Notes by E A Wells: 'Small string necklace of threaded grass. Very unusual find and absolutely among the first of woman's decoration.' Winterbotham's catalogue card: 'This is a plain necklace made of eight short strings of grass threaded on string and each 9 inches long and tied together at one end. At each end is the same collection of string extended for about 12 inches.
