Description

As reported for 1982 Australian Museum survey: Length 150cm, width 68cm. Geometric design. Brown cloth with intricate pattern on one side only.

Research notes

Tapa cloth. Reputed by source to have come from Fiji over 100 years ago. October 1996 - Roger Neich, Auckland Museum, identified this tapa cloth as coming from Futuna Group, between Fiji and Samoa.
