Description

A long, broad, large shield, of light coloured hard-wood. The entire surface of the face is painted black, and engraved with thin lines that form a symmetrical pattern of circles, ovals and moons. The centre section – two horizontal lines of inter-connected circles, bordered above and below by a line of inter-connected semi-circles. There is an oval in the centre of the top and bottom sections. Each oval has two curvy bands, that are unpainted but defined by a thin line either side. The back is unpainted, has no engraving and has a clean surface that is smooth and flat.
