Description

Edge ground. Double-ended axe. Bears writing: A45 Stradbroke Is. shell heaps Point Lookout North Stradbroke Island. [Archaeological Collection Catalogue Card].

Research notes

Donation was secured by Margaret Winterbotham, who worked in the office of Clark and Tait, pastoral agents with interest in pearling in Western Australia and Moreton Bay. Clark & Tait Graziers established in 1898 by James Clark and Peter Tait.

Point Lookout North Stradbroke Island. Double ended specimen found at midden heap [CB2].
