Description

Old Catalogue card: This string of pearl shell, pieces of which measure 1 inch by 3/8 of an inch, are strung on to native string which is, in part, covered with what appears to be modern cloth, coloured red. From the centre there is a pendant of a section of nautilus shell, 4 inches long and 1 and 3/4 inches wide. The necklace measures 7 1/2 inches in length. It is over 100 years old.
