Research notes

Originally recorded as coming from Papua New Guinea however Alan West (valuer) suggests this may be more likely from Australia. [Old Catalogue Card: this comes from Papua and is made to represent a serpent].

From the UQ Anthropology Museum exhibition 'written on the body' curated by Judy Watson and Diana Young, March - August 2014.
