'The Cave. My ancestors left for each and every generation their history on the cave walls. This message was left to map out for us a way to live and exist - mentally, physically and spiritually - within a traditional context. The gift of art is of great significance to me as I sit and contemplate what to draw. I feel this overwhelming feeling which guides my mind, my hands and my soul, a gift I am pleased and proud to have inherited.' [Exhibition label, 1994]
