Research notes

The Mururoa Pacific Peace Flotilla 1995 accompanied the Greenpeace Protest flotilla to protest at Mururoa Attol against the French nuclear testing in the Pacific. Purchased by David Carline in retail store on way back from Mururoa. David Carline attended the protests of French nuclear testing in the Pacific at the end of 1995, inculding sailing on the Greenpeace 'Caramba' to the Mururoa Atoll a week before the third detonation in the series as a representative of Australia indigenous people, supported in part by the Quakers. David continued on to Auckland, New Zealand to protest at CHOGM, and then on to Madison, Wisconsin and Canada (Toronto; Spritual Assembly of the indigenous people of Canada held at Ottowa; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Vancouver) talking at Quaker meetings, Greenpeace meetings, and with indigenous peace groups about nuclear testing in the Pacific and hearing of local nuclear issues.
