"Sample of Outrigger Tie 3. Sequence of seven photographs (34196 to 34203). Craftsman: James Butcher. Native name: Rope, Kupuy. Raw Material: rope is made from the bark of the Kupuy tree, Hibiscus tiliaceus. Function: Used to fasten outrigger in the assembly of the dugout canoe (see 24281), tangu; outrigger arm, puntha; History: Photographs taken by Rev.
