Black and white photograph depicting two men in a bush setting.
Items 3560 to 3567 and photos 32533 to 32548 were collected on the Chapman Expedition which left Brisbane in 1931 in search of gold, and travelled through central Australia, with a base camp at the 'Granites', central Australia. March 2001- two scrapbooks of newspaper articles relating to the Chapman expedition, also donated by Mrs Laws, are now held by the Fryer Library.
"The photo sequence 32533 - 32548 (inclusive) are of the Central Australia region - only one photo is marked as 'Central Aust" (32537). Information on the originals indicates that they were a result of the Chapman Expedition. Possibly photographed by 'Willkinson'. If so, they would have been given to the Museum by Mrs. Laws (18 Aug 1949); her son travelled with the Chapman Expedition to Central Australia during 1931" [catalogue card note].
Mounted on board 320 x 400 mm.
