Black and white photograph of a carved stone figure entangled in thick tree roots.
"Iniet figure. Gazella Peninsula (Tatavane). Small carving made from very hard sandstone. It has only recently come to light - disclosed by the fall of a bank of earth. It is fixed firmly in the roots of an old tree. It is considered an old image for making poison - that is killing of enemies. Also that a traveler could buy good luck from its owner and a safe journey. An offer of £10 was refused for it. B.M." [catalogue card note].
Part of group of photos showing Iniet numbered 31829 to 31834.
