Hand drawn and coloured figure on thick brown paper by Gaiarbau. Depicts man with white, pink, yellow and black decoration on his body and face. Figure appears to be drawn using chalk or pastels.
There are two inscriptions on the front of the paper, both in blue ink. One appears to have been crossed out and reads “Blood brother who came to take his sister back from the camp where she was being ill treated. Head of the bora ring (Painted when in the ring) All spears are painted red. Drothing (sp) hung from neck” The second reads “Muning burum The head [??] of the [??] tribe”
There is an inscription on the reverse of the paper that says “Chalk coloured diagrams of nature corobori ”.
Drawn by Gaiarbau during his meetings with L.P. Winterbotham, likely between 1950 and 1955.
Item 32498 is an overpainted photograph version of this drawing
