Description

A large shield of light-wood. The convex surface of the face presents many wood grains, creating a pattern. The face has been painted red and white, in a pattern similar to a chromosome. Two parallel horizontal lines define each of the terminal tips. The surface of the back of the shield is fibrous, rough and flat. The outer margin of the back has been painted with a thick red band. There is a thick red vertical band down the centre, aligned with and colouring the handle. All other surface on the back has been painted white.
