Paper envelope containing mushroom.

Research notes

From the UQ Anthropology Museum exhibition 'In the Red; on the vibrancy of things' June 2012 - January 2013.

In the Red exhibition label: Medicinal material, 1937-1953. The plant medicines contained within these envelopes, presumably labelled by Nilles, were used as love charms, to inhibit menstruation and conception and to cause abortion.

This type of mushroom grows on stumps above 6000 feet
