Research notes

Old Catalogue Card: This comes from Hpale in the Karen country. It is a dancing - girl's jacket made of local cloth and design. It belongs to the Black Karens. It is only used when the girl was part of a Pwe (pronouned pwoia) group. This is a dancing troupe of two or three men who play the musical instruments and three to five girls who dance. They appear at entertainments.
