Description

A medium sized broad shield of hard-wood. The terminal tips of the face have been painted white; the greater part of the central section is painted black. The back is flat and smooth. There is a pattern engraved from the handle to one of the terminal areas: capital T in form, three cubes with an inner X form the bridge of the T, with five cubes with an inner X form the trunk.

Shield made late 19th century and collected by Mr Barnard on his property Coomooboolaroo Station in 1904 [Barnard source file].
