Description

A narrow medium sized shield of light coloured light-wood. The face has been engraved with two near complete circles on both side margins. Two on one side are closer towards one terminal tip while the other two on the other side are in the middle of the side margin. Both terminal tips are defined by a horizontal boundary and have been reduced presenting a lower plain to that of the body of the shield. Both tips have been painted white. The surface of the face is weathered and battered.
There is a residue that appears to be a square piece of paper adhered to the face. There is a series of very thin and closely spaced horizontal parallel straight lines, possibly from a steel file. The back has this series as well. Both terminal tips on the back have been defined by a horizontal line and have been reduced presenting a lower plain to that of the body and painted white. There is a broad red band painted along the vertical central axis.
