Wood shield with rounded corners and tapering upwards; painted surface design in white, red and black.
Shield could possibly be repainted according to visiting researcher Harry Beran. Mr Beran visited the museum as part of research for a book on Melanesian shields he is coordinating on behalf of the Oceanic Art Society [08/05/2000].
