Description

Black cotton hat with bright pink pom poms, cotton patch work, cross stitching, and half-sphere metal beads. Pink string as chin band.

Child's hat. Items 23908 to 24133 and 24322 to 24331 were the private collection of Mrs Martin who went to the Province with the American Baptist Mission to set up an international marketing organisation for the tribal arts, mainly textile. Almost all items were exhibited in Museum Display No. 15, 1980. Other Thai Hill tribes items purchased from Mrs Martin can be found at 24425 to 24438.
